Thank you very much to the outgoing officers and board members for your service to our club, and we look forward to having the new leadership guide us for the next year.
Sonya Weber addressed the club and shared her outlook and goals for the upcoming year, including "Membership Matters. Community Matters."
Membership Dues Discussion and Vote
Our club meeting focused on two things, including reviewing and voting on proposed membership tiers/dues, and officer and board installation.
The new memberships tiers are being proposed to help bring in new members, as well as offer flexibility to current members. Over the last several years, our club has experienced budget concerns with rising costs and a drop in membership. The new membership structure aims to strengthen our financial position and grow our membership.
There was a motion and a second, followed by discussion. Several concerns from members were addressed by Kathleen and other board members. One member suggested including former members with 3+ years of membership within the new structure.
Votes were cast and tallied at the end of the meeting. Results from the vote approved the new membership tiers. The new structure will take effect this Kiwanis year.
