No Meeting This Week, or Next!
We’re in for a bit of a stretch between regular club meetings. There will be no meeting this Monday or next Monday. Our next regular club meeting is Monday, September 14.
Hopefully, many of you got your Kiwanis fix this weekend through some good togetherness and service at the Sweet Corn Circus Festival!
While we’re taking a short break from our regular meetings, I’ll use this space to keep you posted on some of the things happening behind the scenes.
You may have noticed last week’s sneak peek about the proposed new membership dues structure. At the same time, a sub-committee of the Board is looking at alternative meeting venues as we explore options that could be more cost-effective for the club. Both of these initiatives are part of our larger effort to address the long-term financial sustainability of our general operating fund.
So, what’s the lineup?
📅 August 31 – Board Meeting
This will be an important one! The Board will review the budget, receive an update on the slate of officers and directors for FY27, and make final recommendations regarding meeting location and membership dues.
📧 September – Watch Your Email
Following the August 31 Board meeting, watch your inbox for updates and additional information on these changes.
📅 September 28 – Club Vote
Mark your calendars! The membership will vote on the FY27 slate and the proposed new membership dues structure at our September 28 club meeting.
There’s a lot happening behind the scenes as we wrap up our Kiwanis fiscal year, and look toward building a strong, sustainable club for the future.
In the meantime, enjoy the little break from meetings. Thanks everyone who continues to make Kiwanis happen, even when we’re not sitting around the table together!
