🌽 Sweet Corn Circus
August 22–23 Our annual Sweet Corn Circus is one of the club's largest community events and requires many helping hands. It is an official service project.
Taking over the "social highlights" corner to tell you about work on a revised dues structure for our club membership.
The Board is putting the final touches on a proposed restructure of Kiwanis dues.
The proposed structure will include five membership tiers, designed to offer more ways for members to participate, and better align the cost of membership with the experience:
New Member Tier – a reduced rate to encourage new members.
Service-Only Tier – for members who want to serve but aren’t able to regularly attend meetings.
Regular Tier – for members who regularly participate in meetings and activities.
Legacy Tier – for long-standing members who, due to retirement, travel, or other commitments, attend fewer than half of our meetings.
Corporate Tier – an option designed to engage multiple members from a business organization.
We are still finalizing the specific cost of each tier. Important note is that we will be eliminating the Base membership.
The proposed structure will be presented for approval at the August 31 Board meeting, with rollout and club vote to take place throughout September. Three-fourths of the club must approve a dues restructure.
